Adding Events to the CME Calendar

The Office of Continuing Professional Development maintains an online calendar listing upcoming live courses whose audiences include community physicians and others outside UMHS. The calendar allows potential participants to identify courses of interest up to a year in advance. Information is added in two phases:

1. Preliminary CME Calendar Listing (optional, up to a year before the activity).

OCPD will list basic information regarding a CME activity on the UMMS central on-line CME calendar prior to designation of CME credit. This listing functions as a "save the date" notice ahead of the development of the detailed course schedule and other operational details. Potential participants can identify the planned date(s), course title, location, intended audience, and contact information for further information.

To submit preliminary information, complete the form: Preliminary Course Listing for the UMMS On-Line CME Calendar.

Note: Only basic "save the date" information (e.g., title, date, location; neither full schedule nor ability to register) can be distributed before CME credit is designated for the activity. The CME application and approval process verifies that drafts of the main marketing materials include information required by ACCME and AMA. If the main marketing materials do not have required information, CME credit cannot be designated for the activity.

2. Full CME Calendar Listing (optional, following CME credit designation)

After CME credit is designated, approved detailed course marketing materials can be disseminated. This includes links on the central online CME calendar to access information such as objectives, faculty, schedule, and registration information (e.g., a pdf file of a course brochure).

To submit full course information, complete the form: Full Course Listing for UMMS On-Line CME Calendar.
